Two weeks ago, I received a Facebook message from my boyfriend. The message contained a link which he wanted me to check out immediately. I clicked the link and saw two shirts—one carried the word “kontra” and the other one, “bida.”
I thought he wanted me to buy one of the shirts so he could buy the other, but I was wrong. Instead, he wanted me to check out other designs made by Pambansang.com, the maker of the kontra-bida shirt. Well, in any case, I knew he would have wanted me to buy the “kontra” shirt, haha. Sige na, ikaw na, ikaw na bida! 🙂
At first, I thought Pambansang.com only sells “couple shirts” and the like. Again, I was wrong.
Pambansang.com was established on June 19, 2008 by a group of individuals who believed that history and culture could be preserved through fashion. Many of their products showcase the historical landmarks and cultural events in Bulacan, one of the first eight provinces that revolted against Spain.

After I have seen their designs online, I immediately listed the shirts I wanted. Since I do not have the luxury of time due to work, I plan to buy these shirts when I visit their shop on August 4.
